Do you have the same reports as QuickBooks?

Mostly yes, sometimes under a different name. Here is every QuickBooks report people ask about, what it is called in BizBooks Pro, and where to find it.

Every report is always current

There is no "refresh" or "rebuild" step. Every report is generated from the ledger at the moment you open it, so a transaction you posted a minute ago is already in it. If you need a report that stays up to date as you work — a grant balance, an aging summary, a P&L someone checks daily — just open it again; it is never stale.

All reports live under All Reports in the main navigation. The most-used ones (Cash Flow, Budget Manager) also have their own navigation entries, and anything you don't see is under More ▾.

Class, location and job reporting

QuickBooks Desktop's class and location reports need the matching tracking dimension switched on first — ⚙️ Company Settings → 🏷️ Tracking Dimensions. Once it is, these appear under All Reports:

Grants and restricted funds (nonprofits)

This is the one where BizBooks Pro does more than QuickBooks, not less. QuickBooks has no native concept of a donor-restricted fund; most charities fake it with classes. In BizBooks Pro a grant is a restriction: you record it once, tag the income to it, and every report below tracks it from that moment, updating continuously as you post.

What you needIn BizBooks Pro
Balance remaining on each grantSchedule of Net Assets by Restriction — one line per grant or restricted fund, opening balance, additions, releases, closing balance
What can be spent nowFunds Available for Release — restrictions whose conditions have been met
Income and expense by restriction classStatement of Activities (the nonprofit form of the Income Statement) with the three FASB ASC 958 columns
Form 990 functional expensesStatement of Functional Expenses — program / management / fundraising matrix
Balance sheet with net-asset classesStatement of Financial Position
Year-end donor lettersContribution Statements

These switch on when a company's reporting standard is set to Nonprofit (FASB ASC 958). The full walkthrough is in Nonprofit Edition. Because every one of these is generated live from the ledger, a grant report is always as current as your last posted transaction — there is nothing to rerun.

What we don't have yet

We would rather you read this here than find it after switching. As of September 2026 there is no direct equivalent of QuickBooks Desktop's Missing Checks report, and the Audit Trail exists as a searchable screen (the Audit Log) rather than a formatted printable report. If one of these is the report you live in, tell us — we ship most report requests within a day or two, and the website chat can file the request for you.

Migrating from QuickBooks? Reports work on imported history too. Once your QuickBooks data is in — see the QuickBooks Desktop Import guide — every report above runs against it immediately.
