There is a myth that desktop accounting software means working on an island. BizBooks Pro pulls your bank transactions, takes card payments, e-files your 1099s and imports your entire QuickBooks history โ while the ledger itself never leaves the computer you installed it on.
Start Your Free TrialEvery one of these ships inside BizBooks Pro right now. Nothing here is an add-on purchase or a separate subscription โ connecting is a few clicks inside Settings.
Link checking, savings and credit card accounts so transactions arrive on their own. Smart matching proposes the category and the offsetting account before you ever look at the entry.
RBC, TD, Scotiabank, BMO, CIBC, National Bank, Desjardins and Tangerine connect directly, so Canadian books stop depending on a monthly QFX download. US and Canadian accounts sit together on one screen, each mapped to its own ledger account, and a CAD feed pointed at a USD account gets flagged before it can distort the balance sheet.
Let customers pay an invoice by card. The charge, the deposit and the processor's cut each land in the right account automatically, so your merchant fees stop hiding inside revenue.
Add PayPal beside your card option on invoices. Same automatic bookkeeping treatment โ payment recorded, fee expensed, invoice closed out.
Produce contractor 1099s from the payments already sitting in your books and transmit them electronically through our filing partner. No re-keying totals into a separate tax product in January.
Bring across your chart of accounts, customers, vendors, employees and transaction history from QuickBooks Desktop or Online. Field mapping is suggested for you and editable before anything is written.
For any institution you would rather not link directly, drop in the statement file. PDF statements are read and parsed, not just attached, so the transactions become real entries.
Run payroll wherever you run it today โ Gusto, ADP, anywhere that exports โ and bring the register into BizBooks Pro so wages, taxes and employer costs post to the correct accounts.
Every order recorded as a proper journal entry โ product sales, shipping and sales tax each to their own account. Refunds and partial refunds handled the same way, and payouts reconciled so the lump deposit in your bank matches the orders behind it.
Documented REST endpoints for customers, vendors, invoices, bills, items and journal entries, with scoped API keys and signed outbound webhooks for the events your other systems care about. The answer to the "open API" line on enterprise and government procurement forms. Developer reference โ
Six triggers โ new invoice, invoice paid, payment received, new customer, new vendor, new bill โ and actions to create customers, vendors, invoices and bills from any of Zapier's thousands of apps. Because your books live on your computer, triggers fire and actions run when BizBooks Pro is open; actions are queued and confirmed, never silently dropped. Available now by invitation while the public Zapier listing is pending โ how to connect it โ
Invoice in fifteen major currencies with rates fetched automatically on the transaction date, plus a built-in converter for quick checks. Your base-currency reporting stays correct underneath.
This is the part competitors get wrong about us. Cloud accounting products keep your entire general ledger on their servers because that is the only way their integrations function. Ours works differently, and the difference matters when you think about who is holding your financial records.
Connections are always initiated from your machine. Nothing outside can reach into your computer or open a door to your data.
Bank logins and card numbers are handled by the provider's own secure flow. We never see, store or transmit them.
What returns is the activity itself โ dates, amounts, descriptions โ which is written straight into your local database.
Journal entries, financial statements and customer records live on your hardware. There is no copy of your books sitting on somebody else's server.
When a cloud accounting vendor gets breached, raises prices or shuts down a plan you depend on, your books are on the wrong side of that decision. Local storage plus deliberate connections gives you the automation without handing over custody of the records.
These connectors are built, tested against real order and bill data, and waiting on one thing: approval on the marketplace each one is installed from. Once a listing is live, the connector switches on in Settings with the next update you install. Here is exactly what each will do.
Every completed sale posts as a proper entry โ goods, sales tax, tips and service charges each to their own account. Card sales wait in a clearing account that the Square payout empties, with the processing fee expensed exactly as Square reports it. Cash sales go straight to cash on hand, because no payout is ever coming for them. Split tenders, refunds back to card or cash, and negative payouts are all handled.
A WordPress plugin sends each order to your books the moment it is paid, and each refund when it is issued. Because WooCommerce never holds the money, you choose where each payment gateway's takings land โ Stripe and PayPal to a clearing account their own payout drains, cash on delivery straight to the bank. Itemized refunds return the tax exactly; unitemized ones are held for you to decide rather than guessed.
Bills post to receivables with fees, recovered disbursements and tax kept apart, and each client payment clears the receivable when Clio records it. The client is matched to your customer list before anything posts, and the matter is linked to a BizBooks Pro matter so per-matter profitability is an ordinary report. Payments drawn from client trust funds are deliberately left for the Trust screen, where the client ledger and the bar notice are produced together.
Different from the card payments we already take on your invoices: this records everything else your business collects through Stripe โ website checkout, subscriptions, a storefront running Stripe โ and the payouts that settle it. Charges wait in a clearing account, each payout drains it with the fee expensed to the cent from Stripe's own balance transactions, and refunds reverse the sale. Invoice payments BizBooks Pro charged itself are recognised and left alone, so nothing is counted twice.
The same six instant triggers and four actions as a Make app, for teams that build their automations visually. One API key from Company Settings connects it; the key's read/write scopes decide what the scenario may do.
Straight answer: these are not finished, and we would rather tell you that than pad a list. They are what we are actively working toward, and the order is driven by what customers ask for โ which is exactly why the form below is on this page.
Job costs, change orders and progress billing tied back to the project so your job-profitability reporting reflects what actually happened in the field.
Closed transactions producing the commission split, referral fees and brokerage entries automatically instead of by hand after every deal.
Donations arriving with fund restrictions intact, so restricted and unrestricted balances stay separated for your FASB 958 statements.
We build the integrations our customers actually ask for, in the order they ask for them. If the tool you depend on is not above, this is the fastest way to move it up the list โ and yes, a real person reads every one of these.

No. Everything in the "Working Today" list is part of BizBooks Pro at one flat annual price. Note that Stripe and PayPal charge their own processing fees on transactions you run through them โ that is their pricing, not ours, and we do not add a markup on top.
BizBooks Pro reaches out to fetch your transactions; nothing reaches in. Your bank credentials go through the provider's own secure sign-in and are never held by us. Only the resulting transaction data comes back, and it is written directly into the database on your machine.
Your general ledger, financial statements, invoices and customer records stay in the local database on your computer. That is the whole design. Connections bring outside data in โ they do not push your books out.
Use statement import. Download the CSV, Excel or PDF from your bank's website and drop it in โ BizBooks Pro parses PDF statements into real transactions rather than just filing the document. Plenty of customers work this way permanently by preference.
Zapier is working now. It is not in Zapier's public directory yet, so rather than searching for us you open our app with an invitation link, then connect it with an API key from Company Settings โ the setup steps are here. Everything works in full: six triggers, four actions, and a search to read back what an action created. Make is built and waiting on its own directory review; ask us on the form above and we will email you when it lands.
Yes โ accounts, customers, vendors, employees and transaction history from QuickBooks Desktop and Online. The importer suggests how each field maps and lets you correct it before a single record is written. See our switching guide for the full walkthrough.
