What it is
BizBooks Pro Cloud is the same BizBooks Pro application you would install on your computer, run on our servers instead. Your ledger, reports and screens are identical; the difference is that you open it in a web browser and we look after the server, backups and updates.
Signing in
- Open your company's address, for example riverstone.cloud.bizbooks.pro, in Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox.
- Sign in with your BizBooks Pro username and password. Bookmark the page; links to specific screens keep working after you sign in.
Your books are kept ready from 7 AM to 7 PM in your own time zone (longer on team plans). Outside those hours they rest after a period without use; the next time you open the address you will see a short "Opening your books…" screen for a few seconds while they start. Scheduled work — recurring transactions, reminders and overnight jobs — still runs on time while your books are resting.
Users
Add people in the usual place (Company Settings → User Management) and give each the role you want. Each person signs in from their own browser. Hosting includes two users; each additional user is $12 per year.
Your accountant, bookkeeper or fractional CFO
If they use BizBooks Pro themselves, invite them from Company Settings → Accountant Access instead of adding them as a user. They connect to your cloud books from their own software with their own sign-in, and they don't use one of your seats or add to your hosting price. Each invitation is for one person, so your accountant and your fractional CFO can be connected at the same time; an outside CFO works in the CFO / Boardroom Center. Every request is signed, and you can remove access at any time. Professionals can use the free Partner licence (see Pricing).
Backups and your data
- An encrypted backup of your books every night, and attachments copied every hour.
- We can restore your books to any point in the last seven days.
- Your data is stored in the United States only: live servers in New York, encrypted backups in San Francisco.
- Your books have their own database and their own copy of the application; no other customer can reach them.
- Your data is yours: download a complete copy, or move back to the desktop edition, at any time (see Moving between desktop and cloud).
Updates
New versions are installed automatically, normally overnight in your time zone — there is nothing to download. If you report a problem (Help → Report an issue) and we fix it, the fix is applied to your books as soon as it is released, usually within an hour; if you are working at that moment, BizBooks waits until you pause.
Pricing
Cloud hosting is $144 per year including two users, plus $12 per year for each additional user, billed annually and separately from your BizBooks Pro licence.
Availability during early access
We aim for 99.5% monthly availability. During early access this is a target rather than a guarantee, and no service credits apply. Current status is published at status.cloud.bizbooks.pro. Early-access terms are provided with your invitation.
