January Without the Contractor Scramble

Year-end 1099 work usually means exporting vendor payments, chasing tax IDs and re-keying totals into a filing site. In BizBooks Pro the payments are already in your books, so the 1099 Center works from them directly. Choose the tax year and the dashboard shows how many vendors are above the threshold, how many are missing a W-9, and how many forms are ready.

The reporting threshold follows the tax year you select: $600 for years through 2025 and $2,000 from 2026, in line with the change to the federal rule. You do not have to remember which applies.

🧮 Totals From Your Own Payments

Box 1 nonemployee compensation is calculated from what you actually paid each vendor in the selected year.

  • Per-vendor total paid with the threshold status beside it
  • Prior years remain available from the year selector
  • Regenerate a form if payments change

🪪 TIN and W-9 Readiness

Missing paperwork is visible long before the filing deadline.

  • A count of vendors missing a W-9 on the dashboard
  • Tax IDs shown masked on screen and on printed copies
  • Forms are only generated for vendors with a TIN on file

👥 One Person, One Form

When two vendor records share a tax ID, the IRS still sees one person. BizBooks Pro flags the overlap so a contractor is neither reported twice nor split into two totals that each fall under the threshold.

  • Warning on the dashboard when tax IDs repeat
  • "Same person as" setting combines the records onto one form
  • Nothing is moved or deleted in the process

📨 E-File Through TaxBandits

Connect your own TaxBandits API credentials and file from inside BizBooks Pro.

  • Sandbox mode for testing before you file for real
  • Test the connection and register your business from Payer Settings
  • Submit all forms, then transmit to the IRS through IRIS
  • IRS status per form: transmitted, accepted or rejected, refreshed on demand

Paper Copies When You Need Them

Every generated form can be printed as a recipient Copy B directly from BizBooks Pro, with payer and recipient tax IDs masked. After e-filing, the filed copy can be retrieved from TaxBandits as a PDF.
