It does. Depending on the report you export, QuickBooks Online stacks company-name, report-title and date lines above the real column headings, and the number of those lines varies. BizBooks Pro looks for the heading row itself in both .xlsx and .csv files, and understands QuickBooks Online column names such as "Full name", "Account #", "Detail type" and "Notes". A file it can't make sense of gets a plain error message rather than a silent empty import.
No. BizBooks Pro accounts carry an optional Detail Type underneath the main account type, the same idea QuickBooks Online uses (an Expense account marked "Auto" or "Legal & Professional Fees", for example). Your Account List brings them over, and the account form suggests QuickBooks' standard choices when you set up new ones.
Yes. Import just your chart of accounts, or just customers, or any combination you need. The Items and Classes tiles in Phase 1 are optional — skip them if you don't use items or class tracking in QuickBooks.
Phase 1 first (Accounts, Customers, Vendors, Items, Classes). Phase 2 (opening balances) is optional and most users skip it. Phase 3 last (transactions). The Items and Classes you uploaded in Phase 1 are what make Phase 3 able to tag transaction lines with the right class and resolve invoice/bill lines to the right Item.
Yes — go back into QuickBooks Desktop, open the report, click Customize Report, switch to the Display tab, and check the Class box (and the Item box if you want invoice and bill lines to link to Items). Re-export, re-upload, and BizBooks Pro will tag everything. No need to redo Phase 1.
